I'm wondering why. The generic command (:) to me looks like a deprecated
interface that is neither documented nor maintained and should be removed.

As an example, if you have changed several items and then leave calcurse
with ':q', your work is lost.

The few supported actions (quit, save and help) are better done with the
dedicated commands.
